What are the best games to get if you dont have xbox live?

I recently had my internet disconnected and all my games i have beaten the campign and used them for xbox live1(ex.halo3,gears of war 2 etc.) but now im looking for games that the campaign will take a long time and their are a lot of things to do after the campaign. So if you could help me id really appreciate it. the games have to be xbox 360 games only.

left 4 dead and l4d2 are never the same playthrough twice, one time, you could stomp all the zombies in the face, and the next time, you could get totaled in ten seconds, you just never know.
modern warfare 2 is pretty cool, the bonus mode has many different ways to test things, and the spec ops mode is near impossible on your own, but you can have someone next to you playing too.
