Cool Free Software For Mac

Mac music program?

Hey, I downloaded a cool little program(just the free demo actually) from apple’s website called “Guitar Shed”. It has a feature(among many like finding the tabs, jamming etc.) that lets you load a song and manipulate it like slow it down etc. I love it, but when you slow it down the quality isn’t all there and it gets really choppy and unclear. I am using it to learn hard guitar solos etc and its really fun but is there a software program that is known for this and can do it and is professional software? Whats the most popular? Also looking for mac only thanks a lot!
