Human computer interaction Usability Question? help plz!?
Usability testing is an important part of the development of the user interface of
a Software Application. Give examples of quantitative and qualitative measures that
can be used to assess the usability of a new user interface. In your answer explain
how these might be measured in a set of usability tests.
Could anyone tell me what he means by the measures?
He’s just asking how you would measure if one interface was better than another. He doesn’t want you to say something like “well, it just feels better.” He is trying to get you to come up with a way to do it scientifically. In order to do that, you need to compare the two.
Like when you go buy a car. You don’t just go “oh, cool, I like it.” I bet you have a couple of scales that you use to compare, like “Price”, “Gas Mileage”, “Size”. etc..
I won’t give you a specific answer, but hopefully this will give you enough information to get you started.
