I bought and tried Ascendo Money and Money Dance. Both were very simple, not enough adjustment available. 
I like Quicken 2010, doing what I need to do. 
Most useful feature for me is Bill calendar when you click “view full” option (or something similar), the calendar shows your balance for each day, whichever is the reminder of the law are scheduled each day. The user is quickly and eaisly that show was “extraordinary” potential areas there. It also shows veiw all the data for the day rather than later reminders. 
The reason I’m so happy with this calendar that displays the same way I do on paper for decades, no mathematical errors and no need to change the future financing of any transaction (I always use the sitdown for each month and take a look ahead “and see how much $ $ $ left after each payment for holidays, etc.) 
Benefits-show where the money comes and goes; 
-Indicates when bills are due in a few different methods 
Easy-to learn the basics 

Cons-you have to pay to talk about Republic of online connectivity issues. 
-The only free support via email or chat, and both times 
- The program has many features in advance that are hidden in the “non-obvious to me,” posts 
Help-menu will show screenshots and no. 

Disadvantages mentioned are less than the benefits, but I minimalissues goes, if you’re stuck in the beginning, I could see was the lack of people in Intiut be frustrating

Former Money User

After Nearly 15 years with Microsoft Money I was worried when I found it had been discontinued, and after reformatting my computer was no longer able to use it. I was pleasently surprised at how easy it was to adapt to Quicken Deluxe 2010. All my information transfered without problem, and it was easy to use. The only thing I miss is Money’s “unreconciled” view,where the only transactions you see are ones not cleared on your last bank statement and at the bottom you see your account balance. In Quicken Deluxe’s “unreconciled view you also see only the transactions not cleared since your last bank statement, however the balance at the bottom reflects only the transactions that are visable and has nothing to do with your actual account balance. If they would issue an update to fix this I would give the product 5 stars. It is intuitive, straight forward and everything is easy to find.

Doesn’t deserve the bad reviews

I’ve been a Quicken user for years, but almost didn’t buy this upgrade because of the bad reviews. I bought it anyway and haven’t been sorry. It installed flawlessly and took care of removing the old version (2007) and converting my data. I’m running it on Windows 7 and have not had any problems. There are a few differences from the 2007 version and I like them. 

I guess most of the bad reviews are due to people not liking Intuit’s policy of only supporting each version’s online services for 3 years. They feel forced to renew without getting a significantly improved product. I can understand the frustration with that. I don’t know why they have that policy. It could be for greed as some reviewers have suggested. However, having a technical background, I wouldn’t be surprised if they feel the need to limit the number of years of support due to constantly changing telecomunications and operating systems. Regardless of the reason, I personally don’t think it’s fair to give this product a poor rating. It’s a good product and does a great job of handling our finances.

Quicken, solid and reliable, as always

This is a four-star rating only because my upgrade from Quicken Basic 2007 to Quicken Deluxe 2010 was forced by a change in the Quicken software which would arbitrarily have cut off online access to my bank accounts. This “soak the customer” attitude is regrettable, to say the least, though, alas increasingly common. 

Otherwise, Quicken continues to function as smoothly and reliably for me as it has for the last 20+ years. Most of the functions in the deluxe edition are of no interest to me, but the core functions of account and checkbook management, including online access and bill payment, work splendidly, as they have for many, many years. I had no difficulty in file conversion and Quicken changed none of my categories or settings. 

Quicken continues to be a great choice for managing bank and checking accounts. It is simple, reliable and easy to understand.

Upgrade from 2001 with no problems

Looked for a good price on Quicken 2010 for a new computer yet wanted to be able to use previous files from the 2001 version. There is a convert option in the 2010 version that was easy to use. So I got both a good price and old file use. Very happy with purchase.
